How White Can My Teeth Get? Ask Dr Hui Plano Dentist

How White Can My Teeth Get? |

With professional in-office whitening systems, you can expect your teeth to get on average 6-10 shades lighter after a one hour session.

With that said, each tooth has a maximum whiteness beyond which it will not whiten, and there are many other variables that contribute to how white your teeth can get.

People who present with already white teeth will notice less dramatic results. Patients with yellow teeth tend to bleach a lot better than patients with gray hues to their teeth. Tetracycline-stained teeth are one of the most difficult cases for achieving acceptable bleaching results.

It is also important to note that fillings, crowns, and veneers will not whiten. On average though, most patients are able to achieve very dramatic whitening teeth, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
