Cleaning your white Converse shoes can be tricky. Bleach often turns the canvas yellow and washing machines can destroy the structure. You’ll Need:
Baking Soda, Toothpaste, Washing Up Liquid, Stain Remover, Water
Sponge, Brushes, Newspaper, Cloths, Rubber Gloves

Step 1 – Laces
Remove the laces.
Use 50ml each of washing up liquid, toothpaste and baking soda and mix with 200ml of warm water.
Soak the laces, leave for 2-3 hours and then hang to dry.

Step 2 – Cleaning the shoe
Sponge off any dirt with lukewarm water.
Use 50ml each of washing up liquid, toothpaste and baking soda and add a little bit of water to form a gloopy mixture.
Apply the mix to the shoe using the brushes.
Wipe off any excess with the cloth as you go.
Scrub hard!
Repeat on the other shoe.

Step 3 – Toothpaste
Apply toothpaste to the shoe, using the toothbrush.
Be generous!
Wipe off any excess toothpaste with the cloth.
Repeat on the other shoe.
Stuff with newspaper and leave to dry in a warm place.
Wash the toothpaste off using the brushes.
Repeat on the other shoe.

Step 4 – Tough stains
Prepare the stain remover, following its instructions.
Apply the remover to any tough stains.
Leave to soak for a 5-10 minutes.
Wash off using the brushes.
Repeat on the other shoe.
Leave to dry in a warm place.
Pop back in the laces.
