DIY Mud Mask

DIY GlamGlow Super Mud Face Mask **Full Recipe Below**

This DIY GlamGlow super-mud mask is an awesome way to clarify and rejuvenate your skin without the harsh chemicals of some store-bought versions. It’s my favorite mask to use once a week simply because it is so easy to make, and helps to correct so many common problems such as acne, clogged pores, scarring, and discoloration. So good. Give it a try on your skin and let me know how it works for you!

2 TB coconut oil
1 TB aloe vera (fresh or gel)
7 capsules activated charcoal
1/4 cup bentonite clay
4 oz brewed chamomile tea
2 drops peppermint essential oil
2 drops eucalyptus essential oil

In a medium-size bowl (you’ll want lots of room to stir the ingredients), stir or whisk together the coconut oil, activated charcoal powder (from inside the capsules), aloe vera gel, and clay. It’s important to avoid using metal when working with bentonite clay, so opt for a wooden or plastic spoon or fork.

Slowly add the chamomile tea, then add essential oils to the mixture. Stir to combine. The mask should be wet and a bit lumpy. If the mask is too dry or hard to stir, add a bit more tea until you reach the desired consistency.

Massage the face mask on a clean face. Let the face mask rest for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse the mask off with warm water and a washcloth.
