4 Simple Ways to Remove Plaque || Natural Health and Life

Not brushing your teeth properly or regularly can lead to plaque buildup, bad breath, and even serious gum diseases.

Several factors contribute to plaque buildup, such as improper oral hygiene, bad brushing technique, poor food choices, heredity and lack of professional care.

Removing tartar usually requires a visit to your dentist, however you can remove it yourself at home using natural remedies.

Here are some of the most efficient plaque-removing methods:

Method 1: Focus on The Brushing Technique

Improper brushing technique can cause long-term problems. If you do not practice proper brushing, you are just wasting your time. Brushing is all about the quality, not the quantity.

For a healthy mouth, the American Dental Association recommends this method:

Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.
Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.
Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.
Proper brushing takes at least two minutes.

Make sure you brush your tongue as well to prevent the growth of bacteria. In addition, use dental floss regularly to clean your teeth and gums.

Method 2: Baking Soda

This is the most well-known and often used tool for removing plaque. Simply put some baking soda on your wet toothbrush and scrub away the plaque. You can mix a pinch of salt into the baking powder for more cleansing power. This will remove tartar more effectively.

Method 3: Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is effective for getting rid of plaque and can help whiten your teeth. Just soak your toothbrush in some vinegar and brush your teeth. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to avoid damaging the tooth enamel.

Method 4: Sunflower Seeds and Linden Flower

• 4 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
• 4 tablespoons of linden flower
• 1 liter of water

• Mix all the ingredients together
• Cook the mixture on a low heat for half an hour.

For best results, brush your teeth with this mixture after meals.
